What is taking so long????

I have got this question many times. Well simply put it, I am quite busy in fact to work on it. Not to mention, when I did have time, I took a break from it a couple times. I plan on working more on it soon, and getting the next video on.
I would also like to add, that I am looking into more features to make it more Mario like.
So please be patient and keep on checking here for more updates.

Mario doom Jumping on ememies is out.

The person who created the code to jump on monsters has decided to let me use it. full credit goes to him and the Video of its demonstrations should be out soon.

Jumping on monsters a possiblity?

Well, thanks to site stats, I found a link that lead to some one who created a way to jump and kill monsters. I tried this wad myself. Indeed it exists. I was simply astounded by the awesomeness it holds. I contacted the maker and asked if he would let me use the code and full credit goes to him. However, I also said if he does not want me to use the code, I now get the idea on how to create such a code and will code it myself.
I'll fill you guys in on the details.

Factory reset

Long story on why I had to. But Mario doom has been saved, So back off to work on it I go.
Still working on 2-1. Finally got some time today to work some more on it.

Mario doom is still going.


Indeed that is Doom 2-1 you see there.
I would like to inform you all that it is still alive. Going slowly, but alive. What you see there is in the editor, not actual game play yet. so its going to look undone and crappy lol. Sooner or later this level will be done and I will be moving onto 2-2, with the cheep cheeps (fish)

I apologize.

I havent been able to work on mario doom at all since it's update i released.
I've been to busy.
I have, however, re-dug out the files on my computer to start working on Mario Doom 2-1 and a special little WAD that will come with the Mario doom 1-1 through 2-4 pack. (I'm not telling what it is!!! =) )

I was thinking of whipping up a harder one for people to play, you know, with a smaller path!
I made that update RIGHT after i released the Mario doom update with new jumps. So this new one i have has only smaller paths and I havent released it yet. I dont know if anyone comes here anymore, but, please, if you do, comment whether i should release the harder one or not.

Nothing really.

Im sorry. I have not worked on mario doom since the update i released. I haven't worked on much of anything. Been WAY too busy to even look at the computer. I may work on it while or after I post this update, but it won't be for long.

Pulling out an old project.

I recently got my self RPG maker VX. (Yes i pay for it, and it sickens me, but im happy with it)
I had an old RPG started about 2 years ago on an older RPG maker, and I've slowly been working on its story line in one of my old notebooks. So I'm working on that RPG again now, and its coming along great. This doesnt mean Mario Doom is lost forever, It means I'm duel working on projects. Sort of like multi tasking.

New version of Mario doom uploaded

I have a new version of mario doom up. This one....

-Player's jump has been increased

-Jump blocks now gone

That is it for now. But that is the slight update

No updates

Haven't worked on it since its demo release. I've been fooling around with the Hammer editor from Valve.
I got the orange box and I have been playing around with their half life 2/portal/team fortress 2 editor.
It's quite an editor, hard to get the hang of, but I think I may have started to get the hang of it. Not going to be able to mess with it for a while soon. I have to get back on track with mario doom.
Not to mention a possible idea for another mod in the future ;)

Corruption

Well I was working on Mario doom, importing some textures into the thing. Afterwards I tried to use one of the new animated textures I just imported. They went into the WAD wrong. The texture animated all the way to the last frame and then freaked out and merged with a non-animated texture!
So I tried to fix it.... That didn't go so well, it ended up getting worse.

In the end I ended up having to export EVERYTHING outta the wad. Create a new wad, and re-import the stuff back in. So now everything is back in, all i had to do was import maps. Did that and it was back to normal.
So here I am again caught up on its progress.
This may cause a slight delay, MIGHT. It shouldn't.

Mario doom hitting the world

Holy cow. Woke up this morning thinking itll be the same ol' day. NOT!!!!!
Woke up this morning to find out that a german gaming magazine would like to do an article on it, which i accepted.
WESOME!
Later i checked out the results on the Mario Doom forums a member has subscribed and pointed out that Digg has the video! Holy crap! So I was reading the comments until i hit a comment stating that a Norway Newspaper (major apparently) has done an article on it!
